I stood staring across the floor of the club as I watched them move slowly through the crowd. The music beat at my senses causing my heart to flutter in erratic rhythms.
The crowd soon faded away leaving me only aware of the thickness of the air as I struggled to breath. I looked around too slowly for an escape. Their eyes met mine... flickering recognition became solid and I stood frozen awaiting my fate as they flowed my direction.
